Hi everyone,

First off, on behalf of the Uneepi family we hope you are all staying safe during these unprecedented times. So many things are happening every single day, you need to make sure that you take care of yourself first and foremost.

As we COVID-19 continues and we start a new normal of virtual interactions, dating is no different. More and more people are starting off with video chats, texting and Zoom interactions to get to know each other. We wanted to make sure you all have the tools to be as successful as you can online. Here are some things to keep in mind in this new world of dating.

  1. It’s ok to want to meet virtually first- Everyone has a different level of comfort when it comes to meeting new people. Just because they want to FaceTime, go on Zoom, or use an app to communicate it doesn’t mean that they don’t like you, it just means they want to be careful. Get comfortable with them first, and then move to in-person (we’ll handle that part in another blog)

  2. Be careful of your background- If you do a video call, make sure there’s nothing in your background that can define where you are. Some people might use that information to stalk you, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.

  3. Keep the conversation going- The point of meeting online first is to get to know the other person so when you meet face to face the conversation goes smoothly. So use that time! Ask about the things that they like to do, favorite movies or books, and things that interest them. And if they like what you like, make sure to let them know so you definitely make that connection.

  4. Stay public- Whenever you decide to meet face to face, make sure that you meet in a public place and get there yourself. This is for your safety so you can come and go whenever you want to.

Getting to know someone should be a fun experience, but you should still want to stay safe. If you ever have any questions, feel free to reach out to us on social media or at Uneepi.com
