COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Last updated: November 19, 2016
Uneepi is a place for you to find your missing piece. Whether you feel that missing part is a best friend, spouse, or something in between we want to be with you every step of the way in finding that person. However we can’t do that alone, we need your help in making the Uneepi community as strong as possible. For more information please read over our Terms of Service or contact us at contact@uneepi.com.
Join in!
For Uneepi to work, we’re going to need you (yes you reading this) to join in. Be engaging, and try to talk to people even if it’s just one person a day. The more barriers that we break down, the more it will not just be pictures on a screen, but real people.
Respect of Others
When you message people or you post something you need to be aware of how your words might affect people. Any comments or posts that degrade a person based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age or abilities (mental or physical) will not be tolerated. Comments and posts will be moderated and possibly deleted.
Threats
We want you to feel safe while on uneepi.com. This is a place for you to connect, and to learn about one another without any fear. Any comments, posts that insinuate or outright suggest violence, whether physical or sexual will not be tolerated.
Don’t be gross
One of the ways you can connect is through your videos and pictures. Your hobbies and interests should be shared, so you can make a better connection. When positing pictures, or sharing videos, stay away from things that might be inappropriate (violent, highly sexual, or offensive to one’s race, ethnicity, religion or abilities (mental or physical)
Don’t use Uneepi to break the law
Please don’t post any pictures or videos that you don’t have the rights to.
Your Profile Picture
A picture is worth a 1000 words, so let’s make sure yours is saying the right things. With your profile picture, it should be a clear photo of yourself (you’re so good looking; we all want to see your face clearly.) Please make sure you are not engaged in any violent or sexual acts, or that nothing offensive is in your profile picture
Reporting Users
As good as we are, we can’t do this alone. To make this a safe community for all, we need your help. If you see something posted that is offensive please send it to support@uneeppi.com for review.
Stalking Users
There’s one thing that we want above all else, that’s for you to be safe. When posting on uneepi, please do not include any personal information (e-mail, cell phone, or home address). If you see anyone online pressuring a person for that kind of information, please send it (insert e-mail/person’s name)
Get to know the other person
While we want you to get offline and meet people face to face, above all else we want you to be safe. Don't meet up with a person unless you feel absolutely certain that it is safe. Trust your gut, if it feels wrong then it probably is.
Meet in Public
When you meet for the first time, make sure that it is in a public place. Meet at a restaurant, bar, or public event like a music concert or theater. The more people that can see you the better.
Tell someone
When you go out with someone new, tell someone that you trust where you're going. If you change places, don't be afraid to send that person a text message or call them. You should be safe above all else.
Stay sober
When you meet someone for the first time, you should be aware of your surroundings and what the person is doing. Try not to drink when you first meet someone, but if you do know your limits and don't over do it. You'll make a great first impression and stay safe at the same time.
Drive yourself
Don't rely on your date for the ride. Drive yourself, hail a taxi, or use a car service. Don't be afraid to leave early and use one of those services just in case things don't work out.
Being safe on the web
while we want you to get to know people, there are some folks on the internet that will want to take advantage of you. Be careful of certain communications. These include, but are not limited to:
- Quickly asks to talk or chat on an outside email or messaging service
- Claims to be from U.S. but currently traveling, living or working abroad
- Asks you for money
- Vanishes mysteriously from the site, then reappears under a different name
- Talks about "destiny" or "fate"
- Claims to be recently widowed
- Asks for your address under the guise of sending flowers or gifts
- Makes an inordinate amount of grammar and/or spelling errors
- Sends you emails containing strange links to third-party websites
If something does not feel right, say something. Report any issues to contact@uneepi.com.
